The only goal of the match was scored by Egash Kasintura in the 71st minute after an assist from Brian Mansilla.
Stanislav Cherchesov shared his thoughts on the game and answered questions from journalists at the post-match press conference.
— We were preparing for a tough match. All games against Orenburg this year have been difficult, and this one was no exception. We knew the opponent had made many changes to their playing system. Orenburg play on equal terms against all opponents. I’m pleased that, even in a match where we didn’t produce our best football, we managed to collect three points.
— How would you assess the first part of the season for the team?
— We could have done better, but there’s no point blaming fate. We earned our 22 points. We need to analyze why we collected fewer points than we wanted. There were matches where we could have both won and lost. We’ll make the final assessment in the summer, after the season ends.
— What are your plans for the team’s winter training camp?
— Our training camp starts on January 8. I would like to congratulate all our supporters on the upcoming New Year. I hope they will continue to support us just as strongly next year.
